Intro to IFS & Yoga Therapy w/ Kelly and Jen
Sunday, December 8th | 2-4 pm | $40 or $75 for two people
IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a Parts Work-based psychotherapy modality and self-help framework that can pair beautifully with the deep inner healing that occurs through Yoga Therapy. Both modalities lean on compassion for self and others, the mind-body connection, and gently tapping into our inner healing wisdom through a sense of curiosity and mindfulness. How can these tools be used to better understand yourself, your life experiences, and those around you? Let Kelly and Jen share their practices with you in this experiential workshop. This workshop is designed for beginners to IFS and/or Yoga Therapy, giving participants a sense of each modality, how they can complement each other, and how you can utilize them to promote personal growth and healing.
As the weather changes and we naturally go inward, let us guide you through an afternoon of light internal exploration and curiosity. Attendees will be taught the core concepts and goals of IFS, then skillfully guided into their body through movement using principles of Yoga Therapy: coaching sensation and edge, dropping in, and then engaging in a reflective IFS meditation. There will be opportunity to ask Kelly and Jen questions and you will be provided resources for future learning. All activities are optional and meant to briefly demonstrate the models in a safe group environment. Please bring a journal/paper to write on, a writing utensil, and a yoga mat.
Note: This workshop is educational and is not intended to treat or diagnose any mental health condition.
