The last month has been incredibly impactful at Yess. We have found time together to be both grounding and uplifting. We invite you to the studio to participate in something that is desperately needed at this time, being together in a compassionate way.
It is clear that local, community based places are vital for our world. We need examples of how to live collectively, how to work together, and how to move through the world compassionately towards others. If you have found this to be true at Yess, we welcome you back for a class, workshop, or training. We invite you to share in the vital work of practical and actual ways of unifying. We invite you to be a part of a community that supports your authenticity and creativity. We hope to live together with more harmony, justice, and joy.
I think of the bones
of the unsung rib cage,
the way they protect
the heart. How bone,
too, is living, how it constantly
renews and remakes itself.
I think of how ribs engage
with other ribs
to expand, to contract,
and because they do
their solid work,
they allow the heart to float.
This is what I want to do:
to be a rib in this body
of our country,
to make a safe space for love.
There is so much now
that needs protection.
I want to be that flexible,
that committed to what’s vital,
that unwilling to yield.
