It’s a tender balance; to focus energy on all that is challenging and downright wrong in the world/country right now. And to stay optimistic and hopeful, especially around my young children and our community. I know we all see this balance shift on a daily basis. And I will say, I feel deep gratitude to be in community with you all. To be regularly in a third space where we can speak candidly about the impacts we have felt personally and communally has been tremendously powerful. Your insights, feelings, and experiences have touched my heart forever.

What I have noticed with the new moon’s earth energy and from all of you, is that reconnecting to what is pleasurable, grounding, and supportive means that we can stay in this balance act with more clarity. We know who makes us feel seen. We know what makes us content. We know where to go when we are experiencing overwhelm, frustration, exhaustion and need to recenter. It’s time to reconnect with what sincerely supports us and thus our world.

This month, I invite us all to reconnect with the places, people, books/journals, art, and experiences that bring us into a nourishing spot in life. For this next moon cycle, let’s notice how our aligned choices nourish us.

Questions I have been sitting with:

  • What places do I want to reconnect with to feel more stable in my mind and body?
  • Who allows me to be my most authentic self on any given day?
  • How can I reconnect with the fullest expression of myself?
  • What conversations do I want to pursue to feel more grounded and connected?

*When I think about these new moon themes, I am influenced by the moon’s sign, in this super moon’s case the Taurus energy. Along with listening to what I hear from you all in class and what is discussed prior or after a session. Lastly, I check in with what is drawing my attention in poetry, nature, and the rhythm of life.
