While in reflection this week, I found myself oscillating between acceptance and annoyance. Without a doubt this moment in time has been full of buzzing for my body and mind. There are so many aspects of life that are showing their full expression. Which has felt intense and honest. Thankfully a yogic lifestyle supports the body, mind, and soul through its centering and embodied practices.

So for our next cycle, I think the best thing we can do is to ground. To really get our feet under us. To spend time in practices that support a clear mind. To be around others who are fully present. This is a time to show up and in the most genuine way possible, as your full human Self.

This is a time to vote. This is a time to recognize that your vote has energy. It states the direction that you hope our world will go. Let’s be really clear, there are candidates that are hoping we don’t vote. They are banking on the fact that we think our votes don’t matter. But your vote does matter. Everything you do matters. You are setting the tone of your life, your community, and the future generations. Your actions, words, and thoughts have an impact. May you be grounded enough to stay in your authenticity and values.

Ways that we can come back to embodiment

Questions that support your month of grounding

  • What makes me feel grounded?
  • Where do I feel centered?
  • When I feel grounded, what do I have energy for?

p.s. remember that we have a choice to support public schools on our ballot, vote yes! *If it passes (“yes” vote): your taxes go up $5-10 per month to help fund school technology. If it fails (“no” vote): the levy expires next year, after which your taxes go down $3-5 per month and MPS loses that funding.
